Perpetuated by the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Foundation

Because the nobility that lies elemental in the hearts of all humankind is touched with fire and quickened into stronger life by the knowledge of another in whose life and character it was conspicuously manifest, the foundation and the College have jointly arranged for the issue of  Medallions which are to be perpetual reminders of Algernon Sydney  Sullivan, the memory of whose life has been handed down with loving and grateful admiration as one that was a continuous expression of those high qualities which ennoble and beautify living, binding people together in mutual love and helpfulness.  The contemplation of such lives must ever be encouraging and inspiring.  They justify alike our highest ideals and our highest hopes.  The Medallions, emblematic of these qualities, are awarded in recognition thereof, and in furtherance of such purpose a Medallion is now presented to
